This third part of the course focuses on the various ways to change federal loans including deferment, forbearance, consolidation, refinance and rehabilitation. Understand deferment and forbearance options -Understand consolidation and refinance -Understand the loan rehabilitation process.
This fourth part of the course focuses on forgiveness and cancellation options aside from Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Understand discharge opportunities upon death or disability -Flag when to bring in a legal expert around bankruptcy or school misconduct-Understand the programs for Perkins cancellations -Know about specialized forgiveness programs.
This fifth and final part of the course focuses on Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Understand the qualifications and requirements for Public Service Loan Forgiveness -Troubleshoot and identify key problems that borrowers face in qualifying for PSLF.
